What about my bingo wings?

As we get older, we lose muscle tone, and one of the areas this is most noticeable is our upper arms. The skin also gets thinner and crepey and most of us older ladies prefer not to wear sleeveless dresses.

And why are they called ‘bingo wings’?

Well apparently, they are called bingo wings from the elderly ladies at bingo who would raise their arms to declare they’d won, and naturally they’d wave their arms, jiggling their ‘bingo wings’!

But, more to the point, what can we do about them? I’m sorry ladies, but there are NO quick fixes.

Here are the main things that will help:
– Maintain a heathy weight
– Eat a diet high in omega 3 and marine collagen.
– Moisturise daily! This area often gets forgotten when we apply our moisturiser.
– EXERCISE! Sorry ladies, but exercise is vitally important to maintain muscle tone in our arms. The triceps muscle deteriorates fast if its not maintained, and good muscle tone is key to having shapely arms.

This lady has some great exercises that are really doable https://www.youtube.com/@fabulous50s

Then there are radiofrequency treatments that can tighten the skin. Ask Rashida at Fresh and Fabulous for more information.

So, we’ve done the basics, but our arms are looking crepey, and I want to wear that lovely dress for my son’s/daughter’s wedding.

Profhilo is the gamechanger here.

Profhilo is a very pure low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural constituent of skin and helps us to retain moisture. Sadly, our production of this key skin component drops off a cliff after age 30, and our skin retains less moisture and starts to look dull and wrinkly. However much moisturiser we slather on our skin, whilst it helps, it cannot take your skin back to a youthful appearance.

With profhilo, we inject the hyaluronic acid into the dermal layer of the skin. It spreads out under the skin, and generally improves your skin tone. There is a mild skin tightening and your skin will retain more moisture, leaving it looking less crepey.

For our upper arms, we use Profhilo Body. This is formulated with 2 x 3ml vials in each pack alongside a masque to use immediately after treatment and a special topical moisturiser to enhance the effects. We recommend 2 visits 4 weeks apart. Your arms will look their best 4 weeks after the second application.

This is the sort of result you can expect.

We recommend a top up every 6 months to keep your arms looking good.
