Dermaroller

Do you have sun-damaged, acne-scarred or stretch marked skin? Or maybe you would like to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, smoothing your skin and creating a supple, youthful glow? Once your skin has become damaged in this way, it can be difficult to recover from it without a little help. The scars of acne, bad sunburns or the traditional signs of age that happen to us all can cause lasting damage, leaving scars, marks or wrinkles we wish we could get rid of.

But dermarolling, also known as micro-needling, could help with this. It’s a unique procedure that doesn’t involve any chemicals at all – just a tool called a dermaroller. It’s a cutting-edge treatment that produces amazing age-reversing results, all because it stimulates your skin to produce its own collagen and elastin, just what it needs to repair itself. This is far more effective than introducing chemicals externally, and is a much more natural way to achieve a youthful, healthy face. These natural chemicals then firm and smooth the skin, break down scar tissue and smooth scars. It’s also a great alternative to a chemical peel and requires much less recovery time, but you will need more sessions to get the results you want. Some skin conditions might benefit from a of combination treatments, so it’s important to have a consultation first.

How Does Dermarolling Work?

Dermarolling is done by running a sterile tool that is coated with small needles, across your face. That might sound scary, but bear with me. These needles cause tiny punctures in your skin, encouraging your body to start up its wound healing responses. As your skin repairs itself, your body kick-starts the production of collagen and elastin, which are two chemicals your body struggles to produce as you age. These chemicals give an almost instant plumping effect to the skin, which lasts much longer than a traditional plumping option like fillers. We use a surface anaesthetic to numb your skin before the procedure, so you will feel no pain or discomfort, and treatments can be extended to the body as well as the face.
